George Giomelakis | Visual Artist

George received his professional degree at the Athens School of Fine Arts. He received his first-class honours degree studying visual arts with Vrassidas Vlachopoulos and Yiannis Moralis in theory and history. George has worked with his tutor and engraver Stelios Lapourtas on several projects in Greece and Cyprus. He devoted many years to carrying out projects of religious painting and murals based on transcendental aesthetics of Byzantine Art. All of his personal exhibitions have presented the evolution of his artistic journey.

While continuing to work on his personal artistic achievements, he also manages and supervises large-scale development projects of mural painting in cathedrals and parish churches. On many occasions, he has been the main speaker at seminars and interactive workshops. He executes and curates educational projects held at schools and institutions in collaboration with the boroughs of the city of Athens. He has recently completed a monumental narrative illustration at the parish church in south Athens. Currently he is working on his newest personal multidimensional project called Quantum Quest.
